Henrique Meirelles

Former president of the Central Bank of Brazil between 2003 and 2010, he also made a successful career in the private sector, having reached the position of world president of the BankBoston. Holds a degree in Engineering and a Master in Business Administration, having also attended to various other specialized courses.

Global Prospects and Dynamics for the Paint Industry

Anna Paula Dacar

Business Director for Dow Coating Materials in Latin America, is also responsible for the Advanced Materials division regional leadership. Graduated in Chemical Engineering, holds a MBA (International Business extension) from Illinois University. She worked for The Dow Chemical Company and Rohm and Haas, in the Supply Chain, Logistics and Procurement areas. After that, she took up the position of General Manager of the Coating Materials division for Latin America. She won the Phoebe Haas Award, as an example of Feminine Leadership in Latina America.



Bob Mussell

Research and Development Director for Industrial and Functional Coatings at Dow Coatings Materials. Obtained his bachelor of science degree in Chemistry from Central Michigan University and his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Michigan State University. Joined Dow in 1988 on the Research Assignments Program, and held several positions in the company till 2009, when he was named R&D Director for New Technologies at Dow Coating Materials, moving to his current role in 2010.

Jamil Baghdachi

Professor of Polymers and Coatings and Director of Coatings Research Institute at the Eastern Michigan University, USA. He has spent 22 years at technical and managerial capacities at BASF, DuPont, and ARCO Chemical Company. He is the author of 6 technical books and holds 44 patents. His expertise includes development, formulation and application of all classes of raw materials, adhesives and coatings.
